Salon Hair Extensions got involved in a recent fashion parade at the Parlour Wine Room in Canberra. We supplied clip on hair extensions which enabled hairdresser Byron Turnbull, an award winning stylist from Sydney, to transform his models hair styles.  “SEX and the City”, the new Guess campaign and the fabulous ‘50s all served as inspiration for Mest Hair’s sell-out fashion parade at the Parlour Wine Room.
Byron Turnbull, the award-winning stylist who has recently moved from Sydney to join the Mest team, directed the make-up and hair on the night, and told “CityNews” that he was excited about using both models and ordinary women in the show.
“I’d like to see more real women in the media: it’s okay to have curves!” he says.
Curves were also on show in hairstyles: Byron says that style icon Sarah Jessica Parker has influenced his work, with styles shown on the night ranging from a loose, modern look inspired by the “Sex and the City” diva to a set of tight retro curls with a modern twist.

After a very busy last 12 months, Salon Hair Extensions was excited to win the Wyndham emerging business of the year award for 2008. We'd like to take the time to thank all our customers who helped us to win this award and we look forward to servicing you in 2009 and beyond. Girls Night In Raises Funds For A Good Cause
The Girls Night In took place throughout October. It was all about raising funds to help
find a cure for breast cancer. Hosting a Girls Night In basically involved
inviting all your friends around for a night in and asking them to donate the
equivalent of what they would have spent for a night out.

 Many Girls Night In events were held across Australia which
was fantastic to see! Salon Hair Extensions was a part of a fundraiser
at The Water Rat Hotel in South Melbourne. Girls could have pink
extensions added with the profits going to charity.
For some, the idea of showing up at work the next day with pink hair was a bit too much. So we had a supply of blonde, medium brown and dark brown hair extensions on hand as well.
To many, this was their first experience with hair extensions so many watched from a distance with interest early in the night. But by half way through the night (and a few cocktails consumed) there was a surge of girls ready to add a few extensions for a good cause.
On average, we added 3-5 extensions for each girl. Just enough to make a statement the next day at work and to help out a great cause.

There are heaps of fun ways to raise money. The easiest way is simply to ask your guests to donate what they would usually spend on a night out. Other ideas include: local business support (dollar for dollar matching), raffles, auctions, clothing sale, cooking competition, craft night or a promotion.
