Questions About Our Hair Extensions
1. What types of hair extensions do you offer?
1. Clip ins - Clips have been sewn onto human extensions hair. You simply clip these in to your natural hair to create a stunning style in minutes.
2. DIY Micro Ring Kits - Each hair extension is attached to a small micro ring. You simply pull a few strands of your natural hair through the ring using the loop which is attached to the hair extension. Once you have pulled your hair through the ring, the loop can be discarded. Then use the hair extension pliers which come with the kit to squeeze the ring shut. This extension method is quick and easy, yet provides a professional looking final result. To remove the extensions you squeeze the ring open and slide the extension off. There is no glue or heat and the micro rings are very small so they lay flat and are hard to see.
2. How easy are these methods to apply?
Very easy! The clip on extensions can be added or taken out in minutes. The micro ring extensions generally take about 2 hours to apply depending on your hair type and style. Although this technique is relatively simple, some of our customers prefer to buy these extensions from us and then have their hair dresser add the extensions for them.
3. What color should I choose?
To decide on the ideal colour, please refer to our colour chart. Alternatively, you are welcome to send us an email if you have any questions.
4. How many micro ring extensions do I need?
Generally a pack of 100 will be sufficient for finer hair. However, you may be better to choose 150-200 extensions if: your hair is thick, you have heavy layers or short hair.
5. Will extensions damage my hair?
Extensions should not damage your hair if properly cared for and maintained. You must be careful brushing. If you have a tangle, hold the hair while you brush it especially if your hair is fragile.
Hair Care Questions
1. Can I curl or straighten these extensions?
These extensions are 100% human hair so you are welcome to curl and straighten. Please note, heat will reduce the life of your hair extensions so we recommend you do not straighten or curl your hair on a regular basis.
2. Can I colour these extensions?
Avoid permanent colour if possible on your extensions. As with any hair, dye will reduce the hair quality. Use only a semi permanent colour free from ammonia or peroxide bleach.
3. What types of products should I use?
We recommend a premium brand such as Paul Mitchell or KMS California. Avoid hair products that contain a lot of alcohol which makes hair dry.
4. Can I swim and go in the ocean?
You may go in swimming pools and hot tubs but we do not recommend swimming in chlorine. It is best to wash hair right after swimming. If possible, avoid getting hair in salt water as the salt can take all the moisture out of the hair and cause it to tangle. Add a spray in conditioner after swimming.
5. Will anyone know I am wearing them?
No one should be able to tell. With the correct application you will know they are there but no one else will.
6. Can I wear my extensions to bed?
We recommend taking out Clip In extensions before your go to bed. This keeps the hair from tangling while sleeping and they are easy to put back in. You can sleep with your micro ring extensions still in. Make sure your hair is completely dry before going to bed. It is recommended you wrap your hair together or gently tie up to prevent tangling.
7. Are there specific circumstances where hair extensions shouldn't be used?
If you have weak or damaged hair we recommend you see a trichologist (hair specialist) to get the appropriate advice.
8. Can I create highlights and lowlights with these hair extensions?
Yes, this is a great way to save your hair from the damage colouring can do.
General Questions
1. How long does it take for my order to be shipped?
Any product offered on our website is in stock so we can ship orders in 1-3 business days.
2. How much is shipping and what postal service do you use?
If you live within Australia, we ship your order using the Australia Post express post service which is approximately $12 but varies depending on your state. Delivery generally takes 2-5 days depending on which state you are in.
If you live outside Australia, we offer two options. Australia Post regular airmail is $20. The second option is Australia Post Express Courier which is AU$50. We recommend Express Courier as it includes online tracking of your order and shipping time is quicker (around 5 business days).
