Our Hair Extension Quality Control Checklist

Let's face it, there are some shoddy hair extensions out there on the market. We know this because we receive an incredible amount of feedback from prospective customers expressing their disappointment from previous hair extension purchases from other suppliers. 

Salon Hair decided it was time to give our customers peace of mind when buying hair extensions. Here is our quality control checklist laid out, transparent, for anyone to read to show you why you can trust that placing an order on our website will ensure you get the hair you deserve. 

Hair Extension 8 Point Quality Checklist

1. Colour: Ensure that the hair is coloured correctly. There will always be slight variations in colour as it is virtually impossible to get the colour the same every time. However, if the colour falls outside our tolerance levels we reject the order. 
2. Length: Measure hair to ensure all the strands are the correct length. A common practice if for suppliers to offer 20" long hair with only a few being the correct length. The rest are much shorter.  
3. Hair type: Test hair extensions to ensure they are made from human hair. Many suppliers add in animal hair or synthetic hair to reduce costs.
4. Hair quality: Test hair to ensure it is non tangle remy hair. 
5. Quantity: Check that each bag contains the correct number of extensions (and not a few missing).
6. Weight: Randomly select some extensions to ensure they are correct weight. 
7. Micro Rings: Check micro rings are correct colour and type.
8. Foreign Objects: Ensure no foreign objects or lice.
